Concerned about your hearing or that of a loved one? Then, have your hearing tested by an audiologist. At Prince Albert Hearing Services Ltd. all hearing tests are done by a clinical audiologist. We provide comprehensive hearing tests for all age groups including infants. After a complete hearing test, the audiologist will discuss the findings including hearing loss and recommendations.

There are three types of hearing loss:

Sensorineural
A sensorineural hearing loss is permanent and in most cases there is no medical or surgical option. Hearing aids are usually the primary treatment of this hearing loss.

Conductive
A conductive hearing loss may be treated through medical or surgical treatment.

Mixed
A mixed hearing loss is a combination of sensorineural and conductive hearing loss. A hearing aid is sometimes considered an option for a conductive or mixed hearing loss.

Hearing Aid Selection

If a hearing aid is recommended or decided upon, the audiologist will review your hearing aid options. To help determine the style and features of a hearing aid, there are many factors including the degree of hearing loss and individual needs. Hearing aids will make speech and sounds easier to understand but will not restore normal hearing.

Fitting of Hearing Aids

After the hearing aids have been selected they must be fitted appropriately. We use real ear measurements to ensure that sounds are amplified comfortably without causing any discomfort. Care and maintenance of these devices will be discussed along with warranties and return policies.

We repair hearing aids in office and also provide manufacturer warranties.

We supply batteries for all styles of hearing aids. As well dri-aid kits and ear gene.

We do dispense assistive listening devices such as pocket talkers, amplified telephones and infrared T.V. listening systems.

We provide earplugs for noise protection, musicians, and swimming.

We provide coverage for most third party insurance providers.
